The property is beautiful and our room was spacious and comfy. The roof terrace was a great place to relax. We found the staff (especially Sara) very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was probably the best we had in Morocco.

riad is exactly in the middle of the old madina, right in the middle of life, but because it is in a small side street, it is so quiet away from the hustle and bustle. it was an excellent experience for us. breakfast to suit all tastes. rooms are immaculate. There is a very nice ambiance where you can watch the sunrise on the terrace. The interior of the riad is magnificently furnished and takes you away. a very warm family run business, they were very helpful in every way. We were informed on many issues even before we boarded the plane from Turkey. At this point, I would like to thank Sara the most. for making us feel at home and safe and informing us about everything with his tireless high energy.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was cleaned everyday, the breakfast was delicious. we received a lot of tips from our host regarding the things we can do in Marrakech and the prices we should pay for the souvenirs in the souks.

We would like to thank our hosts for a wonderful stay at their Riad! We were really delighted with the pleasant reception, fantastic service, wonderful atmosphere and support in exploring the city. Marrakesh is fantastic, it made an amazing impression on us and we will be happy to come back here again! And recommend to our friends Riad Tamarrakecht as the perfect place for a dream vacation and ideal location for a stay in Marrakesh, Morocco. Beautiful, sparkling clean, friendly atmosphere, perfect service and amazing location in the centre of old Medina (what gives you the unique possibility to observe Moroccans’ way of living and experience the true, less touristy vibe of the City! In particular however, we were delighted with Fatima, who made sure that our stay with you and all the experiences while visiting the city were fantastic and unforgettable. Fatima is a wonderful, unique and beautiful person who decoted to us a lot of time to us and took care of the smallest details, explaining how to get to places we wanted to see, organising the transport, giving lots of practical guidelines and tips, as well as organizing us a trip to Agafay dessert (which was also amazing). And the map she prapared was a life saver!!

this riad is just amazing. it’s so pretty and clean that I really didn’t want to leave. it’s a family owned riad so all the cooking is done by a mother of four kids. so it just felt like I had Moroccan home cooked food the whole time I was there which is the most amazing experience in Morocco. nothing beats home cooked food. Fatima was so helpful and she treated me like her little sister. she made sure I knew the routes of getting around the Medina. she didn’t let me leave the riad until I am knowledgeable about the area. genuine love right there. I hope to see the whole family when I come back.

We had the opportunity to stay in this sweet hotel during our trip to Marrakech. We felt at home because of the beauty of the environment and the fact that it is a family hotel. As soon as you enter the hotel's door, you find yourself in an oasis in the desert. Tea and sweets are served to you at the entrance. It was really enjoyable to stay in this hotel with two pools. We took beautiful pictures together and had a great time. We stayed in a room on the second floor overlooking the pool. It was quite spacious and the room facilities were adequate. If you happen to be in Marrakech, your first alternative should be this hotel. We would love to stay again on our next visit.Thanks for everything.

The Riad is a dream, everything, everything but everything is a dream, from the owners to the facilities, I don't know where it starts, the owner Fatima is a charming person, she is super friendly, very sweet, she explains everything in detail for you to enjoy. From marrakech without worries, she had a very great detail with us and offered us the honey mood suite for the price of a simple room, the breakfast is spectacular, everything is very fresh and top quality, the rooms are dreamy, actually all the The person who works in that Riad are super affectionate and very friendly, and before I forget, they cannot leave Marrakech without having tried the food that Fatima's mother cooks waooooooo my God, it is extremely incredible I swear that it is the best food I have. I have eaten in all of Marrakech, that lady cooks with a lot of love and with super fresh ingredients, please if you stay in this riad you will never regret it, thanks for everything and until next time

My friend and I were fortunate to find this gem of a Riad in Marrakech. The attention to detail did not go unnoticed from the moment we walked in and were greeted. This riad Is owned and operated by a local Moroccan family. which is a value we found to be a huge plus (support local Moroccans). We were greeted with Moroccan green tea and sweets upon arrival & instantly felt at home amongst the hustle & bustle of Marrakech. The family is incredibly welcoming and accommodating available for questions they went above & beyond by giving us tips on making our way through the medina like a local. The room we stayed in was over looking the pool and the AC during the scorching July heat was a true blessing! The value in staying at a riad (in particular this one) is the attention & true Moroccan hospitality that you receive. The room was clean, had plenty of electrical outlets (more than the 4 star hotel we had stayed at prior to). It is nestled in the heart of the Medina, centrally located & a practical 10-15 min walk to Jemaa el-Fna. We also had the BEST breakfast in all of Morocco at this riad. I highly recommend it, the riad is beautiful it makes for great pictures ( if that’s your thing) .

This Riad truly is a delightful place to stay. Within easy walking distance of the square the moment you step through the door the tranquillity of the place welcomes you in. Beautifully maintained and fabulous attention to detail. Wonderful hosts who ensure that you have all the information you need. The rooftop terrace is a peaceful place to relax and enjoy the sunshine. Bedrooms a good size and a fabulous bathroom. Clean towels every day. Couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay!!!

Me and my wife stayed for a week and the best time. The rooms were comfortable and classy, the common room spectacularly beautiful and the roof terrace was the absolute best. We were there in January and practically no one used it, so we had it all to ourselves. Our stay included breakfast, which was always plentiful and with plenty of choices - served at the table. We loved the cats and the birds, making it feel even more like an oasis. We had minor issues with WiFi but our receptionist Moktar made up for it by being constantly helpful and generous. For my wife's birthday he bought a beautiful cake and a rose for her, and when I lost my passport he walked around the city looking for it. Moktar was a welcome break from the hustling mentality of the Medina - and he wasn't out for a tip. A true friend!

Just WOW! I don't even know how to start. First of all we were a group of 13 so imagine the challenge, but Sara and her brother managed everything surprisingly great! They welcomed us with fresh mint tea and traditional moroccan treats, they were kind and made us feel in home! The Riad itself is beyond beautiful full of fresh flowers and bright colors! Beautiful rooms with amazing moroccan decor.But, I don't want to finish telling what Sara made for us. We hasn't too much time in Marrakech so our itinerary was pretty tight, we don't even has the time to have breakfast, when she noticed that she texted me asking at what time we will be back to the Riad that day, I told her we were at the desert tour and that we will be back at 8:30 pm. Sara just made the most beautiful surprise for all of us at our arrival! She arranged an amazing breakfast (brunch at 9 pm lol) for us to try the most DELICIOUS moroccan breakfast. Wow! Thank you very much Riad Tamarrakecht and a BIG thank you to Sara and her family! Do not hesitate to have the most beautiful time here!

This time around, we avoided the busy jamaa lefna square and wanted to stay in the local part of the medina. We were not disappointed, you get to see daily real life of the Marrakechis in the medina without the tourist scams and the hassle of the busy part.The riad itself is lovely, typical Moroccan Maure decor. Tiles, pottery, berber rugs... the roof terrace is beautiful, perfect to sip on a cup of tea and relax.The staff is welcoming, you get a pot of tea and sweets when you arrive. The riad is a family business and it’s a great value for money deal.Important: there’s a parking 5min away for 15-20dhs per day.

A very beautiful and peaceful riad, the hosts are very welcoming and generous. The position is ideal, not far from a public parking, and in a more calm location in the medina without the tourist traps...

My husband and I had a fabulous two night stay here for our first time in Marrakesh. We really couldn’t have stayed anywhere better. The Riad is absolutely beautiful and full of charm in an excellent location in the heart of the Medina. We can’t thank Fatima enough for all her useful advice and tips which made our stay so perfect. It was wonderful to eat freshly prepared Moroccan food and everything was delicious. We had a fridge, fruit and hairdryer in the room and toiletries in the bathroom. We love walking and found everywhere walkable from this location and also felt very safe. We would highly recommend visiting Jardin Majorelle, Bahia Palace, El Badi Palace and the Saadian tombs but our absolute favourite place was the peace and tranquility of the Jardin Secret. On arrival at the airport make sure you complete a disembarkment form - to speed things up you could do it in the customs queue. You will need to get your boarding card stamped at your airline check in desk on departure before going through security and fill in a boarding card too.

This Riad was excellent in every way. Cost effective, great staff, welcoming environment, great food, customer friendly. Fatima is so helpful. She drew a map of the area, gave precautions about merchants and money and safety. Never felt unsafe in the Médina. We would definitely recommend this Riad and go there again. Lucy24/4/2019My daughter and I were welcomed warmly with mint tea and sweets on arrival. Fatima explained with map the route to the Medina and tips on dealing with local vendors very thoroughly. She is a real gem, most helpful and kind. The riad is very elegantly designed and furnished in Moroccan style. Beautiful pool courtyards and a lovely quiet rooftop garden with abundant sitting arrangements. We spent many afternoons on the rooftop sipping tea/juices, and enjoyed the tranquility and light breeze after a very busy day in the city. We stayed three nights and slept soundly on the comfortable bed every night.Breakfasts were great, freshly baked bread/pancake and pastries, with eggs prepared in traditional way. We absolutely loved the traditional tagines mama cooked for us each evening. The best tagines in town!! My daughter has multiple food allergies and Fatima and mama took everything on board graciously, and catered for her needs meticulously, which was very kind and reassuring.Fatima and her family went out of their way to make our stay most pleasant and enjoyable. I highly recommend anyone visiting Marrakech to stay in this beautiful, friendly, hospitable family owned riad. And finally a very BIG thank you again to Fatima for being the greatest host and her mother for cooking such delicious tagines. An unforgettable riad!

My husband and I arrived and were warmly welcomed with mint tea and sweets. Next, we were given a map with detailed instructions of how to find our way around the Medina. Our room greeted us with rose petals on the comfortable king size bed. Lovely! We stayed four nights and enjoyed a varied and delicious breakfast each day. The rooftop is the calm in the storm of the Medina. We enjoyed tagine dinners here as well. It was a pleasure to feel so welcome in this family owned and run Riad. Sara is a wealth of helpful information and the entire family go out of their way to make you feel at home Thank you so much.

This place is extremely difficult to find, but there is always someone who will help you find it for a fee of course.Once you are inside it is soo beautiful and tranquil, it is a perfect relief from all the hustle and bustle outside.You sit in the beautiful courtyard whilst the loveły owners check you in.We were given mint tea and homemade sweets, which were lovely, we felt instantly relaxed.The building is extremely beautiful and tranquil.The owners are loveły, they give you map and tell you the best directions and gives you her mobile number if you need anything. We stayed in a romantic suite room which was beautiful with a massive comfy bed and stained glass windows which are loveły.We told the owners we had to catch an early bus, so we would miss breakfast.They got the chef to come in early to make us breakfast, which was such a lovely thing to do.Breakfast was amazing, it was a yummy feast. Coffee, eggs, pastries, home made breads and pikelets, jams. There was loads and the young lady who made it was extremely lovely.This place is really beautiful, would recommend to anyone.

A bit outside, but still in the Medina is this very well managed nice Riad. The host (Sara) is very friendly and engaged in providing a comfortable and safe stay with lots of local tips on things to do and how to get around in the Medina. The rooms are nice, very clean and tastefully decorated, beds are very hard. Breakfast and (optional dinner) can be taken either in the beautiful patio at a small pool downstairs or at the large rooftop. Breakfast is very good. We had a wonderful experience there and would recommend for everyone! Try to book a room upstairs on the first floor, they are much nicer. In some rooms the Wifi is bad. Airport transfer is 16€-20€ one way, which is ridiculous expensive for a 4km drive, but seems to be the price everyone settles on...We will come again!
