Riad Tamarrakecht

During our stays in Morocco we had the pleasure to visit a few riads and believe us Riad Tamarrakecht is once and only.It is located in the center of the old town and still so quiet like to be somewhere far from the city. Within a few minutes walk you can reach the heart of Marrakech -Jamaa el Fna Square, outstanding Medresa ibn Jusuf or beautiful Bahia Palace.From the very beginning you are warmly welcomed by smiling staff. Of Course with companion fresh mint tea and delicious sweets.When it is really hot outside and you want to cool down you can jump to the shaded pool. After an evening walk along charming streets you can rest on the rooftop where you can relax and look at stars.Our room was so perfect! We fell in love with stained windows. It was so magic to see so many colourful beams in our room. Have to admit that we used the room fridge quite often to keep our drinks cold.Can not describe all of the prons of our stay in Riad Tamarrakech. We will definitely go back there.

This a family owned place where they make you feel like you are part of the family. From the first day they took care of everything to make sure we have the best experience ever. They explain all you need about staying in Marrakech, gave us tips about the city and helped with everything possible. Rooms are beautiful, spacious and clean, the whole place is stunning like from a fairytale. Kitchen is unbelievable, all freshly cooked and served with love. We were a group of friend from 4 different countries and we all loved the place and the people. I recommend this place to everyone who wants great and unforgettable time in Marrakech. We celebrated new year in the riad and this was the best decision we made for this year. It was pure fun, all organized by this gentle, good hearted family. Thank you. See you soon

Lovely riad, staff was very helpful, they really helped us with everything we asked. It’s a very beautiful and peaceful place just outside the bustle of the city. We had a wonderful vacation there, the roof terrace was very nice to relax and also the breakfast was very good.

We had a wonderful stay at Tamarakecht. Sara and her family were wonderful hosts and really made sure that everything was accommodated for us. As a group of 3 women, we really felt she looked out for us and gave us lots of tips for navigating Marrakech. The riad itself is beautifully decorated and the rooms have everything you could need - safe, fridge, hairdryer etc. Breakfast was also amazing! We would highly recommend this riad to a group of friends to stay at.

The hospitality was second to none. This family run Riad is a beautiful oasis in the dusty and chaotic medina of Marrakech. Sara and Moktare were incredible hosts and gave so much of their time to ensure that every guest's needs were attended to. They painstakingly gave us directions around the Medina, info on taxi prices and tips on navigating the city. Their help was invaluable and ensured we felt safe. They were always very kind and courteous. I have not experienced this level of welcome anywhere else in my travels. This is an absolutely beautiful riad. The rooms were immaculate. Breakfast was very filling and tasty and the dinner we had on the first night was delicious. There's also a beautiful relaxing roof terrace. And don't forget to immerse yourself in the beautiful small inside pool strewn with rose petals!!!Morocco is such a diverse country with many wonderful sights to be seen. But being introduced to such a warm welcome in such a beautiful riad sets the tone for your experience.I would recommend having the Riad arrange a taxi to get you from the airport to the Riad. The medina streets can be chaotic and quite confusing, and Google maps isn't always reliable. Cars cannot come into the Medina at certain times and certainly not the narrow streets to get to the riad. It will save you time and be less stressful having the driver take you there.

riad is exactly in the middle of the old madina, right in the middle of life, but because it is in a small side street, it is so quiet away from the hustle and bustle. it was an excellent experience for us. breakfast to suit all tastes. rooms are immaculate. There is a very nice ambiance where you can watch the sunrise on the terrace. The interior of the riad is magnificently furnished and takes you away. a very warm family run business, they were very helpful in every way. We were informed on many issues even before we boarded the plane from Turkey. At this point, I would like to thank Sara the most. for making us feel at home and safe and informing us about everything with his tireless high energy.

Beautiful, sparkling clean, friendly atmosphere, perfect service and amazing location in the centre of old Medina (what gives you the unique possibility to observe Moroccans’ way of living and experience the true, less touristy vibe of the City!In particular however, we were delighted with Fatima, who made sure that our stay and all the experiences while visiting the city were fantastic and unforgettable. Fatima is a wonderful, unique and beautiful person who devoted to us a lot of time to us and took care of the smallest details, explaining how to get to places we wanted to see, organising the transport, giving lots of practical guidelines and tips, as well as organizing us a trip to Agafay dessert (which was also amazing). And the map she prapared was a life saver!!

Ankara

We had the opportunity to stay in this sweet hotel during our trip to Marrakech. We felt at home because of the beauty of the environment and the fact that it is a family hotel. As soon as you enter the hotel's door, you find yourself in an oasis in the desert. Tea and sweets are served to you at the entrance. It was really enjoyable to stay in this hotel with two pools. We took beautiful pictures together and had a great time. We stayed in a room on the second floor overlooking the pool. It was quite spacious and the room facilities were adequate. If you happen to be in Marrakech, your first alternative should be this hotel. We would love to stay again on our next visit.Thanks for everything.

The Riad is a dream, everything, everything but everything is a dream, from the owners to the facilities, I don't know where it starts, the owner Fatima is a charming person, she is super friendly, very sweet, she explains everything in detail for you to enjoy. From marrakech without worries, she had a very great detail with us and offered us the honey mood suite for the price of a simple room, the breakfast is spectacular, everything is very fresh and top quality, the rooms are dreamy, actually all the The person who works in that Riad are super affectionate and very friendly, and before I forget, they cannot leave Marrakech without having tried the food that Fatima's mother cooks waooooooo my God, it is extremely incredible I swear that it is the best food I have. I have eaten in all of Marrakech, that lady cooks with a lot of love and with super fresh ingredients, please if you stay in this riad you will never regret it, thanks for everything and until next time

My friend and I were fortunate to find this gem of a Riad in Marrakech. The attention to detail did not go unnoticed from the moment we walked in and were greeted. This riad Is owned and operated by a local Moroccan family. which is a value we found to be a huge plus (support local Moroccans). We were greeted with Moroccan green tea and sweets upon arrival & instantly felt at home amongst the hustle & bustle of Marrakech. The family is incredibly welcoming and accommodating available for questions they went above & beyond by giving us tips on making our way through the medina like a local. The room we stayed in was over looking the pool and the AC during the scorching July heat was a true blessing! The value in staying at a riad (in particular this one) is the attention & true Moroccan hospitality that you receive. The room was clean, had plenty of electrical outlets (more than the 4 star hotel we had stayed at prior to). It is nestled in the heart of the Medina, centrally located & a practical 10-15 min walk to Jemaa el-Fna. We also had the BEST breakfast in all of Morocco at this riad. I highly recommend it, the riad is beautiful it makes for great pictures ( if that’s your thing) .

This Riad truly is a delightful place to stay. Within easy walking distance of the square the moment you step through the door the tranquillity of the place welcomes you in. Beautifully maintained and fabulous attention to detail. Wonderful hosts who ensure that you have all the information you need. The rooftop terrace is a peaceful place to relax and enjoy the sunshine. Bedrooms a good size and a fabulous bathroom. Clean towels every day. Couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay!!!

Me and my wife stayed for a week and the best time. The rooms were comfortable and classy, the common room spectacularly beautiful and the roof terrace was the absolute best. We were there in January and practically no one used it, so we had it all to ourselves. Our stay included breakfast, which was always plentiful and with plenty of choices - served at the table. We loved the cats and the birds, making it feel even more like an oasis. We had minor issues with WiFi but our receptionist Moktar made up for it by being constantly helpful and generous. For my wife's birthday he bought a beautiful cake and a rose for her, and when I lost my passport he walked around the city looking for it. Moktar was a welcome break from the hustling mentality of the Medina - and he wasn't out for a tip. A true friend!

Coimbra

Moktar, his sister and family were the best hosts we could have wished. The Riad is amazing, beautifully decorated and super calm. They arranged airport pick up and drop off and also an amazing tour to Ouarzazate.The breakfast was amazing. I’ll sure be coming back!

Just WOW! I don't even know how to start. First of all we were a group of 13 so imagine the challenge, but Sara and her brother managed everything surprisingly great! They welcomed us with fresh mint tea and traditional moroccan treats, they were kind and made us feel in home! The Riad itself is beyond beautiful full of fresh flowers and bright colors! Beautiful rooms with amazing moroccan decor.But, I don't want to finish telling what Sara made for us. We hasn't too much time in Marrakech so our itinerary was pretty tight, we don't even has the time to have breakfast, when she noticed that she texted me asking at what time we will be back to the Riad that day, I told her we were at the desert tour and that we will be back at 8:30 pm. Sara just made the most beautiful surprise for all of us at our arrival! She arranged an amazing breakfast (brunch at 9 pm lol) for us to try the most DELICIOUS moroccan breakfast. Wow! Thank you very much Riad Tamarrakecht and a BIG thank you to Sara and her family! Do not hesitate to have the most beautiful time here!

This time around, we avoided the busy jamaa lefna square and wanted to stay in the local part of the medina. We were not disappointed, you get to see daily real life of the Marrakechis in the medina without the tourist scams and the hassle of the busy part.The riad itself is lovely, typical Moroccan Maure decor. Tiles, pottery, berber rugs... the roof terrace is beautiful, perfect to sip on a cup of tea and relax.The staff is welcoming, you get a pot of tea and sweets when you arrive. The riad is a family business and it’s a great value for money deal.Important: there’s a parking 5min away for 15-20dhs per day.

A very beautiful and peaceful riad, the hosts are very welcoming and generous. The position is ideal, not far from a public parking, and in a more calm location in the medina without the tourist traps...

My husband and I had a fabulous two night stay here for our first time in Marrakesh. We really couldn’t have stayed anywhere better. The Riad is absolutely beautiful and full of charm in an excellent location in the heart of the Medina. We can’t thank Fatima enough for all her useful advice and tips which made our stay so perfect. It was wonderful to eat freshly prepared Moroccan food and everything was delicious. We had a fridge, fruit and hairdryer in the room and toiletries in the bathroom. We love walking and found everywhere walkable from this location and also felt very safe. We would highly recommend visiting Jardin Majorelle, Bahia Palace, El Badi Palace and the Saadian tombs but our absolute favourite place was the peace and tranquility of the Jardin Secret. On arrival at the airport make sure you complete a disembarkment form - to speed things up you could do it in the customs queue. You will need to get your boarding card stamped at your airline check in desk on departure before going through security and fill in a boarding card too.

Excellent stay at Riad Tamarraecht. Fatima was amazing with tips etc for Marrakesh and the breakfast was best we had in Morocco. Location was perfect. This was a little gem in the middle of Marrakesh.

I had a fantastic stay at this charming riad in Marrakesh. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. Its great location within the medina made exploring the vibrant city streets very convenient. The breakfast was excellent—delicious, fresh, and the perfect way to start each day. I also loved spending time on the nice terrace, offering a lovely spot to relax and soak in the atmosphere. Overall, this riad is definitely a wonderful home away from home in the heart of Marrakesh’s medina.

This riad covers everything that we imagined to be for our trip: very clean , with attention to details and people with a smile on their face all the time when you address them with questions or whatever. They did everything to make us feel welcomed in their riad and country. It was very important to have their support 24/7. The arranged drive from and to the airport is a plus with a decent price than I have seen other riads are offering. Breakfast was delicious, the room was cleaned every day and the the whole riad help us experience the life of Marrakech.

The family were so lovely and helpful, full of information and hospitality. The riad is 10mins away from the shops etc, it is an interesting walk seeing all the little shops selling everything. You can buy water and fresh fruit. The area is very safe - much safer than streets of London! Was able to walk everywhere, and the riad is set back and quiet so you can relax away from the bustle. There's a cool rooftop. This is a lovely place for a first trip to Marrakech.

Had a lovely stay at this riad, the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Airport transfer was arranged by staff and somebody from the riad came out to meet us, we were served tea and biscuits on arrival and given useful tips and a map to navigate around. The room had all we needed, shower was warm and consistent, bottled water was left in the room, we had a small fridge to keep it chilled, hairdryer in the bathroom and towels changed, beds made daily, breakfast was lovely near the plunge pool, the roof terrace was lovely to sit and enjoy the sun. The walk to the main square took about 15 mins. On our last day, we were able to store our bags in the riad so we didn't need to carry them around, staff also booked us a transfer to the airport and walked us out to the car.

It is beautifully decorated and serene with lots of lovely seating areas and a huge roof terrace for relaxing. We were welcomed by the family owners and made to feel very much at home. They also gave us lots of helpful information about the area and were always available for questions. It was in a slightly quieter area just outside the busy tourist spots which we liked.

As a solo female traveler- I loved the tender care that Sara and her family showed me. I was well taken care of in every moment. Sara helped me arrange taxis, talked with tour managers, and explained to me directions. I loved how the family was also involved and I met her mother and father.

Malak was one of the best hosts we have ever had. She was exceptionally helpful and genuinely nice throughout our stay. We found that we could trust her opinion and advice, which is really valuable in an unfamiliar country. The riad itself is beautiful- as in the pictures. Pretty good value for money.

Riad Tamarrakecht was exactly as described and managed to exceed our expectations. The owners were so friendly and welcoming and took great care to ensure we had a lovely time. They gave us lots of really useful tips about being a tourist in Marrakesh and even printed out our boarding passes that are a requirement at the airport. The breakfasts were delicious and changed each day and the evening meal we had in the Riad was the best we had during our stay. Many thanks.

Riad Tamarakech it’s an amazing and lovely place where you can stay in the center of Medina , with big and quite rooms and very clean ( they are cleaning the room every day ) . Has a very nice pool in the middle of Riad and the main square is not far away from the Riad , 20-30 min walking . It’s a good choice if you want a quite Riad and very close to the main square and the attractions points . Also, Riad has a nice rooftop terrace with sunbeds and nice design. We had a variety food in the morning and delicious coffee ( try the coffee with a specific homemade spaices ) Riad Tamarakech it’s cozy please and our host , Malak her name, was more than kind. She gave us the all details about the city and was available for us in every moment. Definitely we recommend this Riad for a nice experience in Marrakech!

Everything! We had great communication before travelling, picked up from the airport, and taken to the Riad. We had a lovely welcome from Malak with tea and biscuits. Our room was comfortable and quiet. Malak talked us through how to navigate the area safely and gave us suggestions which were a great help. We had her number to contact her if we needed her. We wished we had eaten at the Riad before night 3 as Malaks mum's cooking was amazing- the best food of our trip. The Riad is inside the Medina but 15 minutes walk to the sights, which allowed us to see the authentic way of life in Marrakech Malak and family have made such a beautiful, calm, serene place to relax The sun terrace on the roof has lots of areas in sun or shade
